Overview

Anchor is a local-first app. Your data stays on your device. We do not operate any servers, do not create user accounts, and do not collect personal information.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following data locally and encrypted on your device only:

• Passwords and login credentials
• Notes
• Tasks and habits
• Secure files

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature.

Internet usage

The app uses the internet only for:

• Feedback form – if you choose to submit feedback, your message and optional email address are sent to the developer. This is entirely optional.
• AI Agents – if you configure an agent with your own Gemini API key, queries are sent directly to Google’s Gemini API using your key. We do not see or store these requests.

Biometric data

The app can optionally use your device’s biometric authentication (fingerprint/face). Biometric data is handled entirely by your device’s operating system and is never accessed or stored by the app.

Third-party services

• Google Gemini API – only used if you provide your own API key. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing – used for the optional one-time unlock purchase. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13.

Disclaimer of Liability

The app and its developer shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage, corruption, or problem of any kind arising from the use of, or inability to use, this app — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of credentials, device issues, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

The app is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. You use the app entirely at your own risk. It is strongly recommended to use the Export & Backup feature regularly to keep a copy of your data.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
