TaskHive Privacy Policy

Data Collection

TaskHive does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All your tasks, habits, goals, labels, preferences, and other app data are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Room database and SharedPreferences).

We do not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or crash logs
• Any data whatsoever without your explicit action

Internet Access

TaskHive works 100% offline. Internet access is used only for optional features you explicitly enable:

• Cloud Sync: Backs up your data to your own Google Drive account. The developer never has access to your data.
• Google Calendar Sync: Syncs tasks with due dates to your personal Google Calendar.
• Feedback: When you choose to submit feedback, your message and optional email are sent directly to the developer via a secure Google Apps Script endpoint.
• Supporter Tips: Optional in-app purchases are handled securely by Google Play Billing.

No data is ever transmitted in the background. All internet activity is user-initiated.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

• Tasks, habits, goals: Stored in a local Room SQLite database
• Preferences: Stored in Android SharedPreferences
• Backups: When exported, stored as JSON files on your device or your Google Drive

Data Sharing

TaskHive does not share any data with third parties. There are:

• No analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No advertising networks
• No social media integrations that share data
• No third-party SDKs that collect personal information

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, you have full control:

• Delete specific data: Delete individual tasks, habits, or goals within the app
• Export data: Use Settings → Export to save your data as JSON
• Delete all data: Uninstall the app or clear app data in Android Settings

Children's Privacy

TaskHive is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. No account or registration is required to use the app.

Third-Party Services

TaskHive uses Google Play Billing for optional in-app purchases (supporter tips and subscriptions). Google's own privacy policy applies to billing-related data processed by Google. The developer only receives anonymized purchase confirmations.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

TaskHive is provided to you "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The app and its developer shall not be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.

This includes, but is not limited to, any loss of data, loss of productivity, missed deadlines, financial loss, or any other harm that may occur from relying on the app for task management, habit tracking, focus timing, or any other functionality. You use the app entirely at your own risk.

The developer does not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data and for verifying the accuracy of any information stored in the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
